Webinar reveals how a penetration tester proved that companies’ sensitive information can be accessed by hackers via a smartphone.

Zimperium is providing customers, media and the general public with a live webinar in which they will learn how a company was hacked via a smartphone and how companies can protect their valuable assets and secure their mobile devices from hackers. The webinar will present a real-life example of a penetration (“pen”) tester who was hired by “Super Company” (a company of about 2,000 employees) to conduct a social engineering test and determine ways to steal confidential documents. Unsurprisingly, access to the company’s internal network was gained from a smartphone. Zimperium executive, JT Keating, vice president of product strategy, will lead the session and answer questions, along with the pen tester, Andrea Pierini.

WHO: Zimperium, a global leader in enterprise mobile threat defense (MTD) and a leading provider of real-time, on-device protection against known and unknown mobile threats.

TITLE: Can a Corporate Network Get Hacked Via a Smartphone? Hint: Yes! Here’s How It Happened

WHAT: In this webinar, the pen tester, Andrea Pierini, will walk viewers through how he accessed Super Company’s internal network via a smartphone, including how he:

  • Utilized different attack methods
  • Circumvented network protections, gained access to the corporate network, escalated privileges and accessed reserved information
  • Remained stealth and bypassed all the countermeasures so that the Super Company didn’t know it was attacked

WHY: Large companies own and have access to sensitive and valuable information. Although significant investments have been made to protect traditional computers and physical access points, sophisticated hackers can still penetrate internal networks via mobile devices.
