Former McAfee and Juniper Networks marketing executive further strengthens the mobile security leader’s management team
SAN FRANCISCO, DECEMBER 12, 2017 – Zimperium, the global leader in mobile threat defense (MTD), today announced that Michael Callahan has joined the company as chief marketing officer. Callahan’s significant experience building security brands and demand generation teams will help Zimperium continue its industry-leading growth and further extend its leadership position.
Zimperium’s patented machine-learning technology has detected every mobile exploit over the last five years, on-device and without requiring updates. Zimperium’s on-device detection protects mobile data and access in real-time, without the delays and limitations of cloud-based detection.
“I am delighted to welcome Michael Callahan to the Zimperium team,” said Shridhar Mittal, chief executive officer of Zimperium. “Michael’s experience in top-tier security companies such as FireMon, Juniper Networks and McAfee will prove invaluable as we continue our hypergrowth and solidify our global mobile security leadership position.”
Bringing over 25 years experience in the enterprise and security industries, Callahan will lead all aspects of Zimperium’s marketing, including demand generation, branding, public relations, analyst relations and messaging. Callahan comes to Zimperium from FireMon, where he was chief marketing officer and responsible for corporate positioning, branding and communicating clearly differentiated solutions to drive strong pipeline growth. Prior to FireMon, Callahan held numerous executive positions at Juniper Networks, including vice president of corporate marketing and vice president of security product marketing. Previously, Callahan held senior marketing roles in leading companies such as HP, TippingPoint (part of 3Com acquired by HP), Credent (acquired by Dell) and McAfee.
“Mobile devices have become the new endpoint. Not only do we do more than half of our day-to-day business interactions on them, we also increasingly use them in our personal lives for banking, healthcare, travel, etc. all of which contain highly sensitive and personal information,” said Michael Callahan, chief marketing officer of Zimperium. As a result, mobile devices are increasingly the target of attacks. Zimperium is the clear technology and solution leader in the mobile security space and is best positioned to help enterprises and government agencies combat mobile threats. I am excited to introduce customers, partners, analysts and the press to Zimperium’s highly differentiated mobile threat defense platform, and to help the company continue its unprecedented momentum.”
